Get Involved
Whether you are a parent, parishioner, alumnus or friend of St. Augustine Catholic School, you can give of your time, talents and treasures to support our students and their education. Here are some practical ways that you can support our school:
Volunteer
Volunteer to coach or coordinate a CYO sports team. We need coaches and coordinators for boys and girls basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, track and field and volleyball. Please contact Bill Murray, CYO director, at 301-881-8180 or for more information
We need volunteers to help coordinate clubs and afterschool activities. We’re very interested in hearing from you if you’d like to launch a Chess Club, Reading Club or perhaps serve as a tutor or mentor. If you have other ideas, we’d also like to hear from you. Please contact our Development Officer, Bill Murray, at 301-881-8180 or click here to email him.
Give
CFC: Our Combined Federal Campaign for the National Capital Area is 20000 for federal workers who would like to support St. Augustine Catholic School through workplace giving.
Donations: One of the bedrocks of our 5-year plan for St. Augustine is 21 parishioners and alumni who have stepped forward to give $25,000 each over five years. We have about 200 donors who have stepped forward to make one-time or pledged donations since early 2008. We welcome your tax deductible donations, whether they are online
or through a check made out to St. Augustine School and sent to:
Fr. Patrick A. Smith, Pastor
St. Augustine Catholic Church
1419 V Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20009.
Donors: please note that although our Guidestar entry that Network for Good uses corresponds with St. Augustine Church that all Network for Good donations go to support St. Augustine School, which is the largest ministry of the church.
Planned Giving: Please consider naming St. Augustine School of Washington, D.C. in your will or bequest. There are other tax deferred ways that you can support our school and its important educational mission. Please contact our Development Officer, Bill Murray, at 301-881-8180 or click here to email him.
Partnerships
If you work at a local employer, we’d like to talk with you about ways that we could work together. Perhaps your employer has parents who are looking for a good school for their children or your employer would be interested in serving as a sponsor for an initiative such as our playground building project or one of our after-school activity. Let’s talk! Please contact our Development Officer, Bill Murray, at 301-881-8180 or click here to email him.
