Saint Augustine Catholic School is pleased to announce Dr. Anika Logan as new principal, effective July 1, 2024. Dr. Logan will be relieving Sister Emmanuella Ladipo, H.H.C.J., who has diligently and fervently served as Principal on an interim basis for the last two years.
Dr. Logan has over 20 years of experience working in the Catholic school system. She previously taught at St. Mary/St. Benedict Preparatory School and then served as Principal at St. Genevieve School, both in New Jersey. Most recently, she served as Principal at Cardinal Shehan School, in Baltimore, Maryland.
She received both her Doctor of Education in K-12 School Administration and Masters of Education in Educational Leadership Management and Policy from Seton Hall University. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Education, summa cum laude, from Western Carolina University. She is a member of the Golden Key Honors Society and The International Society of Female Professionals.
As Dr. Logan embarks on her new role at Saint Augustine Catholic School, she is excited to continue the school’s legacy of academic excellence, Catholic identity, discipline, a safe environment, parent engagement and professionalism on the part of the staff and faculty. She remains steadfast in her belief that it is her calling to serve the Catholic Church in the capacity of an educator. She stated, "Having received a Catholic education myself, I am deeply committed to ensuring that students receive all the benefits of a Catholic school education. As a servant leader, I hold firm to the Christian principles of my Catholic faith and aim to utilize them as a compass for cultivating a school environment rooted in collaboration, fairness, and trust. My approach to school leadership perfectly aligns with the mission of Saint Augustine, which is centered around communicating the person and message of Christ. By adopting this approach, I aim to foster leadership skills and instill a growth mindset in students, empowering them to share their passion for learning with others.”
There will be opportunities for parents and parishioners to meet and welcome Dr. Logan in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for more information.
